Why Meraki?

We’ve been asked this question several times since we’ve embarked on this new adventure. In order to really portray the heart behind why we do what we do, we thought it’d be necessary to properly introduce ourselves. Meraki Visual Designs is a holiday display and special events company located in Southern California. Our specialty lies in the manufacturing of custom trend-setting decor pieces for any seasonal event or celebration.

Our name represents who we are. In the Greek, meraki is “the soul, love, or creativity put into something; it’s the essence of yourself that you put into your work.” At Meraki, we are not just promising an excellent product, we are putting a part of who we are into everything that we do and create. There’s intentionality in the way we do things. We believe excellent craftsmanship is a necessity and creativity should not be confined to a box of limitations.

This company was birthed from the vision of our founder, Angelica Arreola who has more than 25 years of experience in this industry. Growing up, Angelica was raised to believe that anything is possible if you put your mind, heart and effort into it.

This drive for excellence is what has led Meraki to become what it is today. Our dream is to become pioneers in this industry by always creating, renovating and bringing new ideas to life. Hard work and integrity are the backbone of what we do.

So Why Meraki? Because it is the word that best encompasses the type of company we are intending to be. We invest heart and soul in everything we do, and our hope is to inspire and motivate others to do the same.
